Not far from the Sea Lion Caves - the famous attraction that has allowed central Oregon coast visitors to check out the home of sea lions since the '30s - you'll often find these creatures lounging outside the caves on high, precarious cliffs that make you wonder how the heck they got up there.

From this vantage point, at this distance, they look like piles of driftwood. But you can hear them barking and carrying on from above.

There's also oodles of birds here; sometimes there are flocks of them where the sea lions were the previous season, and vice versa.
