Oregon Coast Hotel Plans Special Events for Women, Art Lovers
(Cannon Beach, Oregon) - The Ocean Lodge has been busy planning events for the fall season in Cannon Beach, offering plenty of reasons to visit this rather extraordinary, dramatic time of year on the north Oregon Coast.
First up is the WOW: Women Only Weekend, happening November 13 and 14. They call it: “Effervescent estrogen, fabulous food, divine wine, sensational shopping, and sparkling conversation.”
The she-oriented weekend allows you to gather your female friends and family to jump-start the holiday season in Cannon Beach. The tiny town is going all-out to get in the holiday spirit and immerse itself in the magic of a unique beach community.
“We’ve put together a fabulous weekend menu of special activities for women,” said general manager Wendy Higgins. “Cooking, craft, and decorating classes; spa pampering, live music, art, and delicious food and wine. You’ll leave the Lodge with creative holiday decorating and entertaining ideas, feeling rested, pampered, and ready for the season.”
Lodging packages run from $189 to $269 per night (2 night minimum required).
The Ocean Lodge’s pre-holiday indulgence includes:
Wine Tasting with Sokol Blosser Vineyards: Saturday, November 14, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., with Wine Ambassador Lee Medina.
“Fat Chicks Float Well” Book Signing with Author Kate Cronin Haslach.
Complimentary drink certificate for The Driftwood Restaurant to ease you down the road to relaxation.
Complimentary holiday gift-wrapping offered for all WOW guests. Saturday evening Pajama Party in the library, they’ll be serving EVOO’s famous “Sin in a Mug” hot chocolate.
Additional happenings throughout Women’s Only Weekend in Cannon Beach include Yoga classes, spa treatments, pedicure, manicure packages, “Hello Dolly” play at Coaster Theater, floral classes, holiday appetizers demonstrations, wine and chocolate paring workshops, boutique trunk shows and artistic holiday craft classes and demonstrations. See the Chamber of Commerce website for schedule details www.cannonbeach.org.
The Stormy Weather Arts Festival takes over the town November 6 – 8, and The Ocean Lodge is taking part. Exclusive to hotel, they will be showcasing the dramatically beautiful Northwest photography of Phil Knouf, and the emotionally evocative oil paintings of Leah Anderson.
That evening, there will be a reception that includes live acoustic guitar with fabulous musician Kit Garoutte on Saturday, November 7 from 3 – 6 p.m.
Overnight lodging is available from $169 to $269 (two-night minimum required).
