Cajoling Colors and Beauty of Siletz Bay, Lincoln City, Oregon Coast
Published 11/11/2012
(Lincoln City, Oregon) - Lincoln City's Siletz Bay is a tourism magnet on the Oregon coast, and for good reason. The centerpoint to the town's Taft district, it's a calm bit of watery repose when the rest of the waves just around the corner can be raging and wild.
It's also, as seen above, a wondrous spot for photographing the sunsets.
Sometimes those sunsets at Siletz Bay are bright oranges and reds, sometimes they involve more shades of blue. These are seen from a parking lot viewpoing just south of town where you can see the rock structures a bit more closely.
The pier is a major attraction at Siletz Bay.
Large chunks of driftwood populate the sands along the lapping bay, showing how destructive and thorny even this place can be in storms.
Seeing Siletz Bay at night can be a wondrous experience.
