Oregon Coast Events: December in Newport and Depoe Bay Published 11/27/2010 (Newport, Oregon) – The season kicks in around the Newport area and keeps going at full speed throughout December. This is when Whale Watch Week happens, a Victorian house hosts quaint tea parties, a pint-sized version of the Nutcracker takes place, and the whole of Yaquina Bay gets remarkably festive.
