October 2024 Coos Bay Parties: South Oregon Coast Pumpkins, Wine, Ghouls, Oktoberfest

An Oktoberfest shakes the roof, there's a lively pumpkin patch with music and pumpkin canons, North Bend's Sip and Stroll takes on the autumn and there's quite the Halloween ball at one venue. Now Through October 31, the Mahaffy Ranch Pumpkin Patch 2024 on Highway 241 is cutting loose for the season with its Fall Festival. There are various events involved, including workshops, live music and other goodies. But you'll also find hay wagon rides, a corn cannon, corn maze and an animal barn and that huge pumpkin patch.

Pony rides happen every Sunday at 1 p.m. and live music hits their stage every Saturday at 1 p.m.

October 11 brings the Sip 'n Stroll to North Bend's Main Street. It goes from 5 - 7 p.m. starting at the new North Bend Visitor Information Center at 745 California Ave. This one is always a popular kick-off to the fall season on the south Oregon coast, offering up various ways to engage with and meet all kinds of people, sample a wide variety of beverages and dig deeper into some the Coos Bay area's experiences.

“The starting location at the new Visitor Information Center offers a streamlined system, starting your night off right with a fun atmosphere,” said the North Bend Chamber of Commerce. “Arrive early because the first 100 glasses have exclusive etching. If you're not one of the first 100, don't worry - we will still have a glass for you.”

There's a $10 suggested donation that includes a glass and map for the Sip 'n Stroll event.

All donations from Sip 'n Stroll got toward supporting North Bend Main Street events, such as the Halloween Extravaganza. This event is packed with candy-filled fun for the kids in our community, all happening in Downtown North Bend.

Then, after the stroll, 7:30 p.m. sees the new North Forty Brewery hosting live music and dancing, along with food and drinks. North Bend Chamber

Coos History Museum Oktoberfest - October 12, 2024. The Coos History Museum is hosting its rousing rendition of an Oktoberfest celebration right here on the southern Oregon coast. It's a lively, delightful mix of music, food, and traditional fun.

Visit the Biergarten and enjoy a selection of brews from south coast beer aces 7 Devils. Indulge in the flavors of Germany with classic dishes like bratwurst, pretzels, and sauerkraut. It’s a culinary journey through Deutschland.

Support the museum while bidding on unique items in the silent auction. Who knows what treasures you might discover? Then there's the Cake Walk: take a sweet spin in our cake walk and win a delicious treat.

Dust off your lederhosen and join in the traditional merriment of Oktoberfest games.

Ghoul's Gala Halloween Party Featuring Onhell on October 26, 2024. The east wing of Pony Village Mall will get transformed into the Halloween shindig of the year. It's the third annual one, going from 8 p.m. - 2 a.m . Ages 18+ welcome. Ages 21+ are welcome for the bar.
