Central Oregon Coast Town Announces Restaurant Week Lineup (Newport, Oregon) - It's a week of stuffing your face in the city by the sea. Newport – on the central Oregon coast - is holding its First Annual Restaurant Week, March 27 through April 2. It's a massive celebration of the love of food, and the full roster of restaurants has been announced. Diners will get to choose from lunch and dinner prix-fixe meals. Each meal includes three courses – salad or appetizer, entree and dessert. Gratuity and beverages are not included. The lineup of restaurants is: Agate Beach Golf Course April’s at Nye Beach Bridges Restaurant & Lounge @ Embarcadero Resort Quimby’s Restaurant Shilo Oceanfront Restaurant Champagne Patio Rogue Brewer’s on the Bay Georgie’s Beachside Grill La Maison Mo’s Restaurant (original and annex) Panache The Starfish Grill The Newport Cafe Savory Café & Pizzeria Some restaurants have created new dishes for this event while others have simply compiled some of their most popular dishes. For example the South Beach Fish Market is featuring a three-course lunch or dinner that consists of a shrimp cocktail, cup of clam chowder, and a Captains Platter for $19.50. “ Not only a great deal, but they are utilizing the freshest ingredients Newport has to offer,” said Newport Tourism Director Sunny Golden. Some, like La Maison, will have specials at what have been called “ridiculously fair prices.” Diners will have the opportunity to sample new restaurants they haven't yet experienced, and explore exciting new dishes at their old favorites. Scouts are invited to spend the night in the shark tunnel. They’ll enjoy pizza, go on a scavenger hunt and participate in hands-on activities designed to meet badge requirements. Depoe Bay City Park, Depoe Bay, Oregon. April 18 - 20. Depoe Bay’s Wooden Boat Show, Crab Feed, and Ducky Derby. Local, succulent crab and master craftsmen build and show off their wooden boats.
