Legendary N. Oregon Coast Restaurant Changes Menu, Seating Times

(Cannon Beach, Oregon) – Cannon Beach's upscale Stephanie Inn Dining Room is known for its stellar Northwest cuisine and eye roll-inducing food, with its unique approaches and a pre-fixe kind of menu.
Now, it’s expanding its dining format and opened up more seating times. Guests can order à la carte items and experiencing the full range of the locally-focused menu developed by executive chef, Aaron Bedard.
“The new format will provide our guests with more menu choices and expanded seating times,” said Scott Cruickshank, Director of Operations of Martin Hospitality. “Prior to this change, we had only two seating times and a pre-fixe four course menu. Now our guests will have the choice of the pre-fixe menu or à la carte options.”

Most of the time the menu includes five starters to select from, two soup options, five entrée choices and three dessert choices. This lineup will change weekly, always concentrating on local and regional foods and ingredients.
Seating times are now up to four a day: starting at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m.
Looking for some stunning openers from the garden? No menu is the same, but you may find items like a pear and blue cheese salad with organic greens tossed with honey Dijon vinaigrette, pickled onions, hazelnuts and Rogue River blue cheese.
An example of seafood specialties could be the “Seared Sea Scallops,” which includes diver scallops seared golden brown on a bed of organic greens with chili oil, fried leeks and shaved radish.
There’s a wild mushroom soup with fried shiitake chips and white truffle oil. Or maybe the Braised Lamb Shank (slow braised lamb, with roasted baby root vegetables and fresh mint gremolata), or a Porcini Crusted Springer Salmon (Columbia River King Salmon with porcini crust, wild black rice and pinot noire beurre rogue).
The dessert may include Mocha Pots de Crème, a dark Belgian chocolate custard topped with hazelnut Chantilly cream, water tuile cookie and biscotti.
