The bus tour is open to residents and visitors alike.

“The adventure begins at The Pines, a local favorite featuring twelve food carts where there is something for every taste bud – from Asian to Greek to farm-to-table cuisine. Indoor and outdoor seating are available,” said organizers.

Then, participants get to tear it up at the renowned Lincoln City Glass Center, where they can witness glassblowers in action and explore three glass galleries filled with unique artisan pieces.

The final destination is the North Lincoln City Historical Museum. The museum's downstairs exhibits include fossils, early artifacts, Native American baskets, and beadwork, chronicling Lincoln City's history leading up to its development as a township in the 1920s. The upstairs gallery highlights the automobile era and the rise of tourism along the Salmon River and Oregon Coast highways, culminating in Lincoln City's incorporation in 1965. Visitors can also learn about early tourism promotions and roadside attractions on the "Twenty Miracle Miles."

“In the windows of the museum are Japanese glass fishing floats, donated from the spectacular collection of Jim Watson,” said organizers. “This display includes many unusual examples produced in Japan for the fishing industry. They have made their way to the Oregon coast at the whim of wave and wind.”

The city's popular Finders Keepers program continues this tradition by releasing 100 floats around Lincoln City. Weather permitting, participants will join in the search for these hidden treasures.
