Now, the agency that oversees tourism in the central Oregon coast town and a local brewery join forces to that end: Explore Lincoln City and the Beachcrest Brewing Company are unveiling Finders Keepers IPA.

The indie brewer celebrates the joy of discovering hidden glass treasures along Lincoln City’s seven-mile public beach. This unique release marks the first collaboration between Explore Lincoln City and Beachcrest Brewing Company, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the cherished Finders Keepers program, which has delighted beachcombers with hand-crafted glass floats since 2000.

“Discovering a glass float on Lincoln City’s beach is such a delightful and memorable experience - we aimed to create an IPA that captures that same sense of surprise and whimsy,” said Matt White, brewer and co-founder of Beachcrest Brewing Company. “The bright, tropical notes and citrus aromas reflect the excitement and delight of spotting the glimmer of a hidden glass float.”

Finders Keepers IPA (5% ABV, 16 IBU) is a dry, crisp craft beer with an assertive hop backbone and a lovely floral aroma. It pairs perfectly with a day of beach exploration, complementing strong and assertive dishes such as creamy cheeses (like brie or gruyere), salty proteins (like bacon or fried chicken), flavorful veggies (like stewed greens or salty potatoes), and spicy and herbal foods with a touch of heat or robust seasoning.

This special Finders Keepers brew will be available on draft and in 16 oz cans for retail sale starting February 1st at Beachcrest Brewing Company’s taproom in the Salishan Marketplace, Gleneden Beach, OR.

Inspired by the Japanese fishing floats that used to wash up on Oregon coast beaches, Finders Keepers was created in 2000 by a group of artists, community organizations and the visitor center's Jennifer Sears to celebrate the new millennium and renew the joy of finding floats on the beach. The program has continued this tradition for 25 years, with Lincoln City’s “Float Fairies” secretly placing over 75,000 handcrafted glass floats along these central Oregon coast beaches for visitors to find and keep.

“The collaboration with Beachcrest Brewing Company honors our beloved Finders Keepers program while highlighting the creative spirit and sense of community that makes Lincoln City so special,” said Kim Cooper Findling, director of Explore Lincoln City. “We’re proud to partner on a Finders Keepers IPA that’s crafted with the same care and artisanal craftsmanship as our locally made glass floats.”

Beachcrest Brewing Company, founded by musicians Matt and Amy White, has become a popular spot for visitors and locals to gather after a day of outdoor adventures, relax, connect, and enjoy small-batch beer and wood-fired pizzas. The taproom is located at 7755 N. Highway 101 in the Salishan Marketplace, Gleneden Beach.
