Unusual Basalt Rock Structures at the Gateway

The view changes drastically - and unforgettably - once you're above the beach and climbing around. Rock structures take on sweeping shapes, with leading lines towards the always-crescents of the tideline.

Does anybody remember the submarine called Seaview from "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea"? Is it just me, or does this look more than a bit like that Irwin Allen creation?
