Wine Festival on Central Oregon Coast Thanks Sponsors
(Newport,
Oregon) - On February 22 to 24, Trident Seafoods Presents the 31st Annual
Newport Seafood and Wine Festival, which will bring thousands of extra
visitors to the resort town. It happens adjacent to the Rogue Ales Warehouse,
2320 OSU Drive, just south of downtown Newport.
The first 500 people to enter the festival on Sunday get a complimentary 2008 SWF glass, sponsored by and courtesy of OregonLive.com.
The Newport Chamber wishes to thank the many sponsors of the festival that have made the massive event possible.
Newport Chamber Executive Director Lorna Davis said they make a necessary contribution.
“Sponsorship
is needed to help offset festival costs, and as well, the partnerships
aid with the overall promotion of the event,” Davis said. “The
festival has a positive economic impact on our community and without the
help of our sponsors we would be hard-pressed to put on an event of this
size.”

Entry fees at the door range from $5 - $13, depending on the day. Advance group tickets have now gone on sale, allowing larger groups a special entrance. Groups of 15 or more can call the Chamber office (800-262-7844). Advance e-tickets are still available at the chamber website, www.discovernewport.com, allowing pre-purchase online. There will be an “e-ticket” line at the entrance of the festival.
