Oregon Coast Brewery Wins Australian Awards
(Pacific
City, Oregon) - The Pelican Pub and Brewery recently came away with 10
prizes at the 2008 Australian International Beer Awards Festival for the
second year in a row. Over 1,000 beers were tasted at Australia’s
most prestigious beer competition, held in late March in the land down
under. The festival was started in 1987 to reward excellence in the field
of brewing and to assist in the promotion of the brewing industry.
The Pelican Pub and Brewery’s award-winning beers include:
Best in Class – India Pelican Ale, in the Ale Packaged category.

The Australian International Beer Awards is now the second largest annual professional beer competition in the world. It is held each year in Melbourne, Australia, and known as the country’s largest beer event.
This
year's panel of judges sampled and evaluated over 1,084 entries from 217
breweries across 42 countries. Information about the awards and this year's

The
Pelican Pub and Brewery - located 22 miles south of Tillamook on the majestic
