| Crabs will be the center of culinary attention in Astoria this weekend |
(Astoria, Oregon) - The historic fishing communities of Astoria and Warrenton again celebrate the incredible bounty of fresh Oregon seafood this weekend during the 26th annual Astoria-Warrenton Crab and Seafood Festival. The widely popular three-day festival is highlighted by a traditional crab dinner featuring fresh-caught Dungeness crab. Visitors can also sample fresh shrimp, salmon, oysters, halibut, clam chowder and other delicacies throughout the celebration, along with a beer garden and vintages from more than 50 regional wineries. The festival also features arts and crafts from more than 200 regional artisans, along with live music and entertainment.

It happens Friday through Sunday, April 25 to 27. Event
hours are Friday, 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.;
Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Crab and Seafood Festival is held at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.
Shuttle service is available for $1 from area hotels, campgrounds and
convenient park-and-ride locations all around Astoria and Warrenton, including
the Port of Astoria. Astoria is located on Oregon’s historic North
Coast, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean, 90 miles northwest
of Portland.

It is the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies and has a rich maritime history. Still home to a working waterfront, Astoria boasts a vibrant community including art galleries, museums, restaurants, shops, Victorian homes and the internationally acclaimed Columbia River Maritime Museum.
Adult admission for the festival is $8 on Friday, $10 on Saturday and $5 on Sunday. Children under the age of 12 are free. The crab dinner will be available at the current market rate, approximately $15. Parking at the event is $5.
