Nestled in the heart of downtown Yachats, at Hwy. 101 and W. Fourth St., The Wine Place features a wide selection of wine, and gourmet accompaniments, too. Loft seating provides room for customers to enjoy glasses of wine or bottles purchased in the store - with no corkage fee. There are also unique treats at Great Bear Chocolates and Angel Whispers, located just next door.

Saturday, May 12, 1 to 4 p.m. features Saginaw Vineyard. Meet Cheryl of Saginaw Vineyards, a family-operated Cottage Grove winery. Specializing in handcrafted wines, the boutique winery makes just 300 to 800 cases each year.
On Saturday, May 19, 1 to 4 p.m., it’s Kramer Vineyards. Meet Trudy Kramer, owner/winemaker of Kramer Vineyards located in the Yamhill-Carlton district. Kramer Vineyards is a 20-acre estate vineyard producing limited lots of award-winning varieties. Always innovative and entertaining, Trudy is a popular guest at The Wine Place.

Sunday, May 27, from 1 to 4 p.m., it’s J Scott Cellars. The Wine Place will feature Winemaker Jonathan Scott Oberlander. A wine producer for Silvan Ridge - Hinman Vineyards, Oberlander considers his work an artistic expression. “Wine is a form of consumable art,” he says. “Where no two pieces are ever exactly alike." He'll be sharing samples of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Avante, a blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah.
