Oregon
Coast Business Owners Appear on National Tourism Radio Show
(Newport, Oregon) - Three
of Newport’s tourism industry figures will appear on The Stephanie
Abrams Travel Radio Show on Sunday, November 26 to talk about Newport,
its many features and some upcoming festivals.
Inn
At Spanish Head, Lincoln City. It's Lincoln City’s
only resort hotel built right on the beach with all oceanfront
rooms - nestled against a rugged cliffside overlooking a soft,
sandy beach. Enjoy dining in the penthouse restaurant and
bar - whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal or
a candlelight dinner. They offer an array of seafood specialties,
juicy steaks and other Northwest favorites, including a decadent
Sunday buffet. Rooms range from bedrooms to studios to one-bedroom
suites with microwaves and refrigerators to full kitchens.
Hotel amenities include wi-fi, spa, saunas, exercise room
and a year-round heated swimming pool. Kids will love the
game room and easy beach access. Full-service conference and
meeting rooms for that inspirational retreat; extensive, gorgeous
wedding possibilities. Near the south end of Lincoln City
at 4009 SW Highway 101. 1-800-452-8127 or 541-996-2161. www.spanishhead.com |
Lorna Davis,
Director of Tourism Development for the Newport Chamber of Commerce,
will be the figurehead of the interviews, talking about the Newport
Seafood and Wine Festival, the Glass
Float Giveaway and other tourism aspects of Newport.
Jonathon
Trusty, co-owner of Blu Cork Wine Bar and Village
Market & Deli, will be on the air to talk about his restaurants,
the Nye Beach area and about Oregon’s wine industry and its
impact on tourism, especially on the coast.
Judy Kuhl, manager of
Embarcadero Resort, will discuss the hotel, the bay and bay front
district and other subjects.
Stephanie Abrams’
show goes out to four million listeners across the nation every
Sunday and is heard on Portland station KCUP AM 1230, but coastal
residents with broadband Internet access can listen live or on the
archives at www.sabrams.com.
The radio interviews
were arranged by part time Newport resident Andre’ Hagestedt,
known as PR Monster (and editor of BeachConnection.net).
Hagestedt does publicity for Newport, Village Market and other coastal
businesses on the north coast, as well as runs the tourism website.
Abrams
contacted Hagestedt about interviewing Newport tourism representatives
after he sent her a press release about the Glass Float Giveaway
promotion.
Hagestedt and
BeachConnection.net were recently featured on Abrams talk show as
well. BeachConnection.net was also spotlighted in various media
across the northwest, including The Oregonian, a full article in
Postively Entertainment, and numerous coastal papers like The Astorian,
Seaside Signal, Lincoln City News Guard and Newport News-Times.
