Coast Aquarium Dives Into Spring Break with Activities, Programs

- Spring break means loads of fun activities at the coast's most high
profile tourist attraction: the Oregon Coast Aquarium. There, plenty of
educational activities will take place for all ages during spring break
and the entire month of March.“This is a wonderful opportunity for
kids to enjoy themselves at the beach while learning about marine science
and having fun with other children,” said Aquarium Public Relations
Manager Cindy Hanson. “Our gifted educators are highly committed
to helping kids connect with nature.”

Octopus Encounter, March 3, 10 a.m.
Learn what’s involved in caring for one of the ocean’s most
intelligent creatures as you come hand-to-sucker with a giant Pacific
octopus. Under the supervision and guidance of an Aquarist, you’ll
have an opportunity to handle an octopus and watch it eat a special treat

Otter Encounter, March 25, 10 a.m. Learn about the sea otter’s
many adaptations and the challenges these adaptations pose for their caretakers.

Spring Break Overnight Camp, March 29 - 30, 2 p.m.
to 9 a.m. Children 8-12 years old can become
marine biologists during this special camp. This opportunity includes
