Oregon Winery Kickstarts Festival Season
(Nehalem, Oregon)
– The kooky, funky and fun Nehalem Bay Winery – on the
Oregon coast – is beginning another year of captivating festivals.
Between reggae, bluegrass, Fourth of July and an always-inventive
anniversary party, this winery knows how to party - and is a favorite
among locals and tourists alike.

Nehalem
Bay Winery |
The winery sits
along Highway 53, just a ways inland from the north
coast town of Manzanita, in the middle of pastoral farmland
surrounded by a close-knit ring of small mountains covered in dense
trees. The atmosphere is at once part Americana and rural France.
Winery spokesperson
Melissa Stetzel has released more information on its lineup for
the year, just as it begins its season of music festivals, food
and fun.
All its events
are family friendly, featuring the winery’s signature inventive
drinks and food.
Next week, May
27 kicks off the summer season with the Memorial Day Blues Festival:
Blues, Brews and BBQ. Over 15 beers, tasty barbecued cuisine and
live music by Portland's rockin' blues monster Jim Mesi, and the
dance-incuding soul/blues fusion of Norman Sylvester.
June 17th means
the annual Juneteenth Reggae Festival, featuring its famous pig
roast, Red Stripe beer and rastas. The show features African drum
master Chata Adda, with the infectious funk and reggae of Rhythm
Culture.
July 4th brings live music and a free all-American barbecue following
the parade in Manzanita.
